Much work remains to be done on the water; it is still in the "sketch" stage.
And even when completely finished, this piece will be somewhat abstract, almost shell-like, since a complete field of water can only be suggested. The figure is also fairly rough; the grain about the face will be much more pronounced when I'm done. This is because the heart of the wood ended up being right in the middle of the head. |
